What's New at
our
Vermont Country
Bed and Breakfast Inn
Tom and Susan Barnes are the new owners of the Inn as of August,
2008. We have been working hard to improve the Timberholm while
retaining its wonderful Vermont feel.
New premium mattresses, luxury linens, blankets, towels,
pillows, and duvets make going to bed one of the highlights of
our guests days. New luxury guest products from the Natura line
from Sweden are provided. We have replaced furniture and artwork
in many of the rooms trying to evoke the original Vermont ski
lodge feel that the Inn had when it was built 60 years ago.
We
have installed new windows in the rooms and in the Great Room,
making the view of the surrounding scenery even more impressive.
We
have a new flock of chickens (17!) laying organic eggs for our
breakfasts. We have retained many of the old recipes for our
large country breakfasts but are adding some of our own as well.
We are members of the Vermont Fresh Network, committed to
cooking as much as is possible with only local and organic
ingredients.
There is another new addition to the Timberholm Inn. On June 20th we welcomed our new Inn mascot. Meet Sophie, our new Golden Retriever puppy. Right now it’s like having a new baby at home…just what busy innkeepers need. Soon we hope to have Sophie completely trained so she can relax among our guests. If you would like to meet Sophie when you visit the Timberholm, just ask.
“Speaking of new additions, we've been busy redecorating the downstairs lounge, and are now proud to open the new Pub at the Timberholm. The Pub will feature some of Vermont's best microbrews and a nice selection of fine wine. No need to run out to the store on the Mountain road. We'll have just what you’re looking for in-house. You'll be able to enjoy your favorite beverage in front of our new wide-screen HDTV, curled up in front of the fire in the Great Room, or out on the deck enjoying the view. The pub also includes new comfy sofas and pub furniture. We think you’ll find it a welcome addition to the Timberholm experience. “
